Notre histoire
Nous sommes Juliet Bruce Jones et Simon Ingman, un couple britannique qui habite le Languedoc depuis 2004. Nous avons acheté notre premier vignoble en 2011, une belle parcelle de Syrah dans une petite vallée derrière le village de Mailhac, à mi-chemin entre Carcassonne et Béziers. Au cours des années suivantes, nous avons acquis et planté plus de vignes et rénové un domaine viticole dans la rue de La Tasque. La première cuvée du Domaine La Tasque date de 2014.

Juliet is a Master of Wine, one of around 430 in the world, and has 30 years experience of buying, selling, tasting and talking about wine. Making her own wine is both a rewarding and a humbling experience – there is something new to learn every day.
Simona une formation en biologie marine et en pharmacie. Lorsqu’il s’est installé en France, il était chef de projet, rénovant de vieilles maisons pour leur rendre leur gloire d’antan. Il est responsable des vignobles et met à profit ses compétences pratiques dans la fabrication de machines dans le vignoble et la cave. Dans son temps libre, il se retire dans son garage et travaille sur ses voitures de collection, principalement des Lancia.
Expérience
Travail des vignes à la main
Domaine La Tasque is a small wine domaine with 3 hectares in production. We do (almost) everything ourselves and know each vine and barrel intimately. We do use a tractor, but much of the vineyard work is done by hand, from pruning to debudding, leaf plucking, weeding and, of course, harvesting where we rely on our team of skilled pickers.
Trailblazing
Assyrtiko grape variety makes wonderful wines on the island of Santorini. We were one of the first to plant Assyrtiko in the Languedoc and it has adapted magnificently to our dry climate, making rich, mineral wines with Assyrtiko’s trademark acidity. We make it as a single varietal wine and also blend it with local grapes Bourboulenc and Grenache Gris. A unique marriage of Greece and the south of France!
