Domaine La Tasque Syrah, IGP d’Aude, 2014

92% Syrah, 8% Carignan

The Syrah grapes were hand-harvested on the 16th September into 15 kg boxes. They were de-stemmed but not crushed and fermented in a wooden, open-topped fermenter. Extraction was achieved by punching down by hand twice a day in the early stages of fermentation and one déléstage (rack and return). The wine was pressed in mid-October. 20% of the wine was matured in one year old barriques for 10 months before blending, and bottling in July 2015.

The wine was only very lightly filtered before bottling and there may be a slight in a deposit in the bottle. We recommend decanting 1 hour before drinking.

15 % alcohol.

Production: 1300 bottles. Each bottle is numbered.
