The grapes are looking good but still very green. Yields are very low in the Carignan vineyard but here’s a particularly good looking bunch.

Oak barrels

Very excited to take delivery of 3 bourgogne barrels today, just in time to receive some of the 2014 vintage. 2 Francois Frères and 1 Demptos. They look new but are in fact one year old.

Waiting game

Harvest 2014 – the waiting game

The grapes are looking great. Beautifully healthy and the flavours are developing nicely. The weather now is ideal with warm days (29°C) and cooler nights (15°C). Fingers crossed it stays that way until harvest which, for the Syrah, will be sometime in the next 2 weeks.
